The cost of camel milk in India is almost 30 times more than cow milk. Camels do not produce much milk as cows or buffaloes do. But their milk is precious. They lactate till 10 to 12 months after having a baby. Breeding camels is a lengthy procedure. Camels can produce a maximum of 5 to 6 liters of milk a day. They need extensive veterinary care and lots of feed and pasture to produce this much milk. Milking them is also done manually. Training camels for milking is also time-consuming. It might take from 2 days to 2 weeks to train them. When considering all these factors, you would find that the price of camel milk in India is not as much expensive as it should be, especially after knowing many benefits it offers. Since we started this venture for serving a social cause, our camel milk price is highly reasonable.
